KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Bret Boone smacked a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to rally Seattle to a 7-5 win over Kansas City Friday night.
Miguel Olivo homered twice for the Mariners, who scored three runs in the eighth to snap a four-game losing streak.

Jose Lopez, Hiram Bocachica and Scott Spiezio each added a solo shot, while Raul Ibanez contributed three hits.
George Sherrill (2-1) earned the victory.
David DeJesus got two hits, including a homer, and drove in three for the Royals, who squandered an early four-run edge and have lost four of their last five. Alberto Castillo and Abraham Nunez also homered for KC.
Boone's two-run shot in the bottom of the eighth against D.J. Carrasco (2-2) put Seattle ahead 6-5.
