MLB: Montreal 4, Arizona 0

MONTREAL, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Livan Hernandez pitched eight shutout innings Tuesday as the Montreal Expos defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-0.

Hernandez (9-10) allowed seven hits with eight strikeouts while walking two. Luis Ayala pitched a scoreless ninth.

Brad Wilkerson, Tony Batista and Juan River each contributed an RBI in the win.

Randy Johnson (9-10) suffered the loss, allowing three runs on five hits. He fanned four with one walk and has just one victory since July 4.

Danny Bautista and Luis Terrero each collected two hits for the Diamondbacks, who fell for the fifth straight time and have dropped 21 of 25 games since the All-Star break.
