Busch overtakes Biffle to win Meijer 300

SPARTA, Ky., June 19 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch overtook Greg Biffle with two laps left en route to winning the NASCAR Busch series Meijer 300 on Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway.

Friday, Busch broke the track record and qualified second after a lap of 179.832 miles per hour in a Chevrolet. But during a post-qualifying session, he wrecked his Chevrolet, forcing him to the rear of the 43-car field.

Using his backup car, the 19-year-old Busch averaged 126.633 mph as he captured his third series victory of the year. He finished 1.274 seconds in front of Biffle, who was driving a Ford.

Mike Bliss finished third in a Chevrolet, Ron Hornaday Jr. was fourth in a Chevrolet and Jason Keller rounded out the top five in a Ford.
