MLB: Anaheim 7, Baltimore 4

BALTIMORE, May 15 (UPI) -- Jarrod Washburn pitched eight outstanding innings and Anaheim batted around in the fourth Saturday en route to a 7-4 victory over Baltimore.

Despite playing without injured regulars Garret Anderson, Troy Glaus, Tim Salmon and Darin Erstad, Anaheim turned in a six-run fourth inning to open a 7-0 lead. Shane Halter's two-run homer highlighted the outburst against Orioles starter Eric DuBose (3-3).

Washburn (7-1) has become accustomed to the offense. The Angels scored 55 runs in his first seven starts and the latest barrage helped extend the lefthander's winning streak to six games.

Washburn, the first seven-game winner in the American League, matched his longest outing of the season and surrendered two runs and three hits while striking out five.

Ben Weber relieved Washburn and surrendered a solo homer to Melvin Mora in the ninth.
