COL BKB: Oregon 65, Notre Dame 61

SOUTH BEND, Ind., March 25 (UPI) -- Luke Jackson scored 14 points Thursday night, including his team's last six, carrying Oregon to a 65-61 win over Notre Dame in the NIT quarterfinals.

Andre Joseph had 16 points and Ian Crosswhite added 12 for Oregon (18-12), which faces Michigan on Tuesday in New York.

Jackson sank two free throws with 2:06 remaining to break a tie, then made a jumper to open a 63-59 advantage with 1:25 left. After Notre Dame's Chris Quinn countered with a jumper with 48 seconds left, Jackson split a pair of free throws with 11 seconds to play.

Teammate Jay Anderson grabbed the rebound of the second miss and gave it back to Jackson, who was fouled with eight seconds remaining and again went one of two to cap the scoring.

Chris Thomas led all scorers with 18 points and Quinn had 17 for Notre Dame (19-13), which lost for the fourth time in 13 games.
