ATLANTA, March 6 (UPI) -- Marvin Lewis had 21 points and Jarrett Jack 18 points and 12 rebounds Saturday to lead No. 22 Georgia Tech to a 63-60 ACC victory over Florida State.
The loss was the 24th straight on the road in conference play for Florida State (18-12) and may end up costing it an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament.
If Virginia wins at Maryland on Sunday, Florida State will have to face Clemson in an ACC tournament play-in game with the winner meeting Duke.
Georgia Tech (22-8) avenged an 81-65 loss at Florida State on Feb. 3. In that game, Tim Pickett scored 33 points for the Seminoles.
But this time, the Seminoles' leading scorer sprained his right ankle in the first half and scored just 10 points before fouling out with 6:43 left. Florida State made just three baskets the rest of the way.
