DAVIE, Fla., March 3 (UPI) -- The Miami Dolphins Wednesday announced the acquisition of quarterback A.J. Feeley from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Feeley, a third-string quarterback in Philadelphia, is expected to compete with Jay Fiedler for the Dolphins' starting job.

"Here I am given an opportunity to compete for a job and that's all I ever wanted," Feeley said.
Dolphins officials said Miami gave up a second-round draft pick in 2005 to get Feeley.
"We believe this gives us a combination of depth, experience and ability at the quarterback position," said General Manager Rick Spielman.
Feeley played behind Donovan McNabb and Koy Detmer in Philadelphia.
