NHL: Florida 2, Boston 1

BOSTON, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo stopped 43 shots and Lukas Krajicek set up both goals Saturday as the Florida Panthers edged the Boston Bruins, 2-1.

Named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team for the first time on Thursday, Luongo is 1


2 against the Bruins this season, turning aside 104 of 107 shots. He was within 76 seconds of his 20th career shutout, but rookie Patrice Bergeron spoiled the bid.

Luongo, who denied P.J. Axelsson on a penalty shot in the third period, backstopped Florida to its first win in Boston since Jan. 22, 2001. The Panthers have not recorded a road shutout against the Bruins since winning at the Boston Garden on March 11, 1995.

Juraj Kolnik and Valeri Bure had power-play tallies for Florida, which has earned points in four of its last five games (3-1


1).

Boston lost for just the third time in the last 12 games (8-3-1).
