NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Tight end Boo Williams of the New Orleans Saints has agreed to a three-year contract with the team.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Williams, who would have become a restricted free agent, started the final six games of the season after an injury to Ernie Conwell and caught 29 passes for 347 yards and four touchdowns in that span.

"Working with Williams on a contract extension was a priority for us entering the off-season, not only because of his production but also because of his potential," said General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Williams finished the year with 41 catches for 436 yards and five touchdowns.
