NBA: Houston 99, Los Angeles Clippers 85

HOUSTON, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Yao Ming had 21 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks Friday night to help Houston cruise to a 99-85 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers' Elton Brand scored the first basket, 26 seconds into the game, but Houston went on an 8-0 run and did not trail again.

Cuttino Mobley led Houston with 22 points and Steve Francis added 16.

Quentin Richardson led the Clippers with 20 points as they had their season-high four-game winning streak snapped. Corey Maggette added 16 points and Brand finished with 11 and 11 rebounds.
