NFL: Tampa Bay 16, Houston 3

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Thomas Jones scored on an 18-yard run on Tampa Bay's first possession of the game and Tampa Bay never looked back on its way to a 16-3 win over Houston.

The Texans (5-9), who were shut out last week at Jacksonville, finally got on the board in the third quarter on a 38-yard field goal by Kris Brown, but were never really in the game. Rookie quarterback Dave Ragone completed only 9-of-17 passes for 64 yards in his second NFL start.

Brad Johnson completed 17-of-28 passes for 237 yards as the Buccaneers moved back to the .500 mark for the first time since Nov. 2.

Martin Gramatica made three field goals for Tampa Bay (7-7).
