NBA: Toronto 86, Denver 81

TORONTO, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Lamond Murray scored 16 points off the bench and Vince Carter added 15 Friday night as Toronto posted an 86-81 exhibition victory over Denver.

Carter misfired on 14 of 19 shots while Antonio Davis scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds in 21 foul-plagued minutes.

First-round pick Chris Bosh finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Bosh was selected fourth overall, one pick behind Denver's Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony led the Nuggets with 19 points. Newcomer Andre Miller added 16 to go with five assists.

Denver committed 26 turnovers to 12 for Toronto. Nene fouled out with five turnovers, 10 points and seven rebounds.
