Kansas 35, Missouri 14

LAWRENCE, Kan., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Quarterback Bill Whittemore and Clark Green each scored two touchdowns Saturday afternoon as Kansas rolled past 23rd-ranked Missouri, 35-14.

With the win, the Jayhawks snapped a 15-game conference losing streak. rival Missouri (4-1, 0-1 Big 12 North) suffered its first loss and gave up 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Whittemore, the 2002 Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year who passed for four touchdowns two weeks ago in a win over Wyoming and threw for a career-high 319 yards last week against Jacksonville State, completed 14-of-22 passes for 111 yards and ran for 76 yards.

Missouri's Brad Smith passed for just 62 yards, hitting Darius Outlaw with a six-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
