Forsman had an unplayable lie on the ninth after hitting his tee shot into the rocks. His third shot went down the cart path and his fourth onto the short fringe. He made the 15-foot putt for bogey, his only one of the day.

Tim Clark shot a 63 and was in third at 12-under 128. K.J. Choi, Tom Lehman, Charles Howell III, Hal Sutton and Paul Goydos were tied for fourth.

Armour has been on the PGA Tour since 1982, winning his only title at the 1990 Phoenix Open.
