Choi, making his debut on the European circuit, finished at 26-under 262 at Gut Larchenhof and earned $560,000.

The 33-year-old Choi finished two shots ahead of Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez with Britain's Ian Poulter and Sweden's Niclas Fasth sharing third at 265.

"I am so happy," said Choi, who won twice on the PGA Tour last year. "I would have been happy with a top 10 before I came here, but a win is very rewarding. Now I have a five-year exemption on the European Tour. I plan to play more over here."

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke closed with a 67 for a share of fifth place.
