Earnhardt wins Busch race

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 4 (UPI) -- Dale Earnhardt, Jr. led flag-to-flag Friday night to claim the Winn-Dixie 250.

It was his fourth consecutive restrictor-plate victory at the Daytona International Speedway.

He also won the season-opening Koolerz 300 here on Feb. 15 and the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 5.

The last driver to lead a Busch race from start to finish was Jeff Burton, who accomplished the feat at Darlington in 2001.

Michael Waltrip, Earnhardt's teammate, finished second, followed by Jamie McMurray, who passed Ron Hornaday with five laps remaining. Johnny Sauter rounded out the top five.

Waltrip has four second-place Busch Series finishes at Daytona.
