Atlanta 8, Montreal 6

ATLANTA, July 4 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones' two-run single capped a four-run, sixth-inning rally Friday night, propelling Atlanta to an 8-6 victory over Montreal.

Andruw Jones helped the Atlanta attack with four hits.

After Matt Franco and Rafael Furcal drove in runs earlier in the inning, Chipper Jones greeted reliever Joey Eischen with a two-run single that gave Atlanta a 7-4 lead.

Andruw Jones homered in the second inning for the Braves' their first run and singled in the ninth to cap the scoring.

T.J. Tucker (0-2) took the loss, allowing a run in the sixth. Tucker, who retired just one batter, walked two.

The Expos had a 4-1 lead after three innings, thanks to a two-run double by Ron Calloway and homers by Michael Barrett and Wil Cordero.
