OAKLAND, Calif., July 3 (UPI) -- Joel Pineiro allowed six baserunners over eight innings Wednesday night as the Seattle Mariners posted a 13-0 rout at Oakland.

Pineiro (9-5) gave Seattle the strong outing it needed from a starter, allowing three hits with three walks and six strikeouts for his fourth straight win.

The Mariners gave him all the support he needed with two runs in the first inning off Ted Lilly (5-7), who remained winless in nine career appearances against Seattle.

Dan Wilson had four singles, Randy Winn added two doubles, Edgar Martinez had a two-run homer, and every Mariner had at least one hit to match Seattle's season high, which was accomplished on May 27 at Kansas City.

Lilly, who has lost five of his last seven decisions, yielded five runs and 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out nine.
