PHILADELPHIA, May 28 (UPI) -- Ricky Ledee and Bobby Abreu each homered and drove in three runs Wednesday night as the Philadelphia Phillies swatted a season-high five homers in an 11-3 triumph over the New York Mets.

After spotting New York an early 1-0 lead, the Phillies moved ahead on Ledee's three-run blast in the second inning off Pedro Astacio.

Jimmy Rollins, Jim Thome and Placido Polanco added solo shots before Abreu crushed a three-run shot to center field in the eighth, giving Philadelphia its highest single-game homer total since hitting five on May 9, 1999 at Colorado.

Philadelphia came into the contest with 44 homers, more than just San Diego, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.

Mike Lieberthal added three hits and two RBI for the Phillies, who snapped a three-game skid and won for just the second time in seven games.

Vicente Padilla (4-6) gained his first victory since April 19, allowing a run and three hits in seven innings. The righthander, who had dropped five straight decisions, walked six and struck out one.
