Kenseth wins Busch race

CONCORD, N.C., May 24 (UPI) -- NASCAR Winston Cup regular Matt Kenseth took the checkered flag under caution Saturday to win the the Busch Series Carquest Auto Parts 300.

Kenseth recorded his second Busch win of the year when Mike Biffle spun in turn 4 with two laps to go in the 200-lap event. He also won at California Speedway on April 26 and has 14 career wins on the circuit.

Kyle Busch, the 18-year-old brother of Winston Cup driver Kurt Busch, finished second in his series debut.

Scott Riggs was third for his fifth top-five finish this season, while Todd Bodine regained the points lead from David Green with a fourth-place effort.

Bodine has a 98-point lead over Green, who was forced to the garage early in the race after an accident with Kerry Earnhardt. Green made it back to the track to complete 121 laps for a 37th-place finish.

Riggs is third in the standings, 100 points behind the leader.
