San Francisco 4, Florida 2

MIAMI, May 6 (UPI) -- Benito Santiago scored the tying run in the seventh inning and hit a two-run homer an innning later Tuesday night to lift the San Francisco Giants to a 4-2 win over the Florida Marlins.

The Giants were trailing, 2-1, when Santiago doubled to deep left field to lead off the seventh. The veteran catcher was on third with one out when pinch hitter Andres Galarraga singled to tie the game.

There was a runner on first with two outs in the eighth when Santiago drove the first pitch from Armando Almanza (3-1) over the right field wall to make it 4-2.

Barry Bonds also homered for the Giants, hitting his 10th of the season in the sixth inning.

San Francisco's Joe Nathan (3-0) pitched two hitless innings in relief of starter Jason Schmidt and notched the victory. Tim Worrell worked a scoreless ninth and recorded his ninth save.

Ivan Rodriguez homered for Florida, but Luis Castillo's 16-game hitting streak came to an end. The Marlins have lost four straight.
