CLEVELAND, April 16 (UPI) -- In what the Cleveland Cavaliers hoped was the final game in their pre-LeBron James era, they defeated the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night, 96-86.

Rookie Smush Parker scored 17 points and Tierre Brown added a career-high 16 for the Cavaliers, who capped their season at 17-65.

Cleveland and Denver will have the best chances of landing the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, where the prized catch is Ohio native James, the most-hyped high school player in years.

Darius Miles added 15 points for the Cavaliers, who took the lead for good, 38-37, on a layup by Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 5:05 left in the first half. Cleveland led at the break, 50-43, and had a 72-65 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

Rafer Alston scored 23 points to pace Toronto, which lost its last eight games to finish an injury-riddled season at 24-58.

Cleveland, which unveiled new colors, uniforms and a team logo in a halftime ceremony, played without leading scorer Ricky Davis, who sprained his right ankle in a loss at Detroit on Monday.
