Golden State 106; Denver 99

OAKLAND, Calif., April 6 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 41 points Sunday to lead Golden State to a 106-99 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

The win gave the Warriors a sweep of the season series with Denver for the first time in 13 years.

Coming off a poor performance in Friday's loss to Portland, in which he scored just 12 points, Jamison surpassed that total with 17 points in the first quarter. He added eight in each of the next three periods.

Jamison made 17-of-24 shots and grabbed 14 rebounds in one of his best games of the season. He helped the Warriors snap a three-game losing streak and keep alive their flickering playoff hopes.

With just five games remaining, Golden State (37-40) is four games behind Phoenix for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference. The Warriors also trail Houston and Seattle.

Golden State won all four games from Denver, marking the first time it swept the season series since the 1991-92 campaign.

Juwan Howard had 24 points and nine rebounds for the Nuggets (17-60), who joined the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 60-loss club.
