SURPRISE, Ariz., March 24 (UPI) -- Todd Greene hit a two-run homer and Doug Glanville knocked in two runs Monday as the Texas Rangers posted an 8-5 victory over the San Diego Padres.

Carl Everett and Michael Young each added two hits and an RBI for the Rangers, who scored six times in the seventh inning to overcome a 5-2 deficit.

Aaron Fultz worked a scoreless inning in relief of starter Ryan Drese for the win.

Ramon Vazquez hit a two-run homer and rookie Xavier Nady added two hits and scored twice for the Padres.

Padres starter Jake Peavy surrendered two runs and four hits over six innings. The righthander struck out eight without a walk.

Kevin Walker took the loss after retiring just two batters and getting roughed up five runs. He walked three and allowed two hits.
