Vincent Lecavalier had a goal and two assists for the Lightning, who snapped a six-game winless streak on the road (0-5-1) and won for just the third time in their last 12 games overall (3-6-2-1).

Tampa Bay improved to 4-16-3 in the all-time series, 2-5-1 in Dallas.

Normally an enforcer, Roy recorded his first career two-goal game, beating backup goaltender Ron Tugnutt with a pair of slap shots from the top of the right faceoff circle.

Making his second straight start, Tugnutt allowed three goals on six shots before being pulled in favor of Marty Turco.

John Grahame picked up his second straight win for Tampa Bay, making 25 saves.
