St. Louis 30, Arizona 28

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- After Marc Bulger found Torry Holt with a 58-yard pass to put his team in position, Jeff Wilkins kicked a 26-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining Sunday night, lifting the St. Louis Rams to a 30-28 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Already eliminated from postseason contention, the Rams squandered a 17-point halftime lead before rallying at the end.

Trailing, 28-27, the Rams got the ball back at their own 20 with 1:51 left and on first down Bulger made a beautiful throw between four defenders over the middle to Holt, who raced to the Cardinals' 22.

Three plays later, Wilkins, who Coach Mike Martz said he had lost confidence in earlier in the week, drilled his third field goal of the game to give the Rams (6-8) the victory.

The win improved Bulger to 6-0 as the Rams starting quarterback. Bulger completed 24 of 40 passes for 319 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Marcel Shipp rushed for two touchdowns and caught another score for the Cardinals (5-9), who lost for the seventh time in their last eight games.
