PITTSBURGH, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Reggie Taylor and Aaron Boone each drove in two runs Monday night as the Cincinnati Reds rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Pirates starter Kip Wells took a 3-2 lead into the seventh but surrendered back-to-back singles to start the inning. After reliever Joe Beimel walked Todd Walker, Boone greeted Lincoln with a sacrifice fly, driving in Taylor with the tying run.

Former Pirate Jose Silva (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Reds starter Elmer Dessens to earn his first win since May 28, 2001.

Pokey Reese accounted for Pittsburgh's offense. He led off the bottom of the first with a double and scored the Pirates' first run on a groundout by Brian Giles. In the third, Reese broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run homer off Dessens.
