NEW ORLEANS, July 26 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Saints Friday signed defensive end Charles Grant, one of their two first-round picks, to a five-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

Grant was chosen with a pick that the Saints acquired in the deal that sent running back Ricky Williams to Miami.
In his final collegiate season as a junior, Grant was a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award and finished with 63 tackles while leading the Bulldogs with six sacks. He had 136 tackles and 15 sacks in his career, starting since midway through his freshman year.
Wide receiver Dontae' Stallworth, who the Saints took with the 13th pick, still is unsigned.
