KISSIMMEE, Fla., March 21 (UPI) -- Albie Lopez allowed a run and six hits over six innings and Andruw Jones homered Thursday to carry the Atlanta past the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-1.

Lopez walked just one in his best outing of the spring. Kerry Ligtenberg struck out all three batters he faced in the ninth to notch the save.

Mark DeRosa drove in two runs for Atlanta, which had just eight hits.

Toronto starter Chris Carpenter allowed four runs and seven hits in six-plus innings.

Chad Mottola had two of Toronto's six hits and Vernon Wells drove in the lone run for the Blue Jays.
