NY Yankees (ss) 5, Los Angeles 4

VERO BEACH, Fla., March 17 (UPI) -- Roger Clemens pitched five strong innings and Todd Greene smacked a three-run homer in the top of the eighth Sunday as a split squad of New York Yankees rallied for a 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Clemens gave up two runs and three hits with a walk and five strikeouts. John Dillinger got the win with a scoreless eventh and Randy Choate picked up the save, despite allowing one run and two hits in two innings.

Greene connected off Jeff Williams for his second spring home run. Jalal Leach collected three hits and an RBI for New York.

The Dodgers got a solid effort from starter Hideo Nomo, who allowed one run and four hits while striking out four in four innings.

Brian Jordan had two hits and two RBI and Koyie Hill and Phil Hiatt slugged solo homers for Los Angeles.
