JUPITER, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Masato Yoshii pitched three scoreless innings and combined with three relievers on a three-hitter Wednesday as the Montreal Expos blanked the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-0.

Yoshii, the starter and winner, allowed just one hit. Zach Day worked three innings, Osvaldo Fernandez pitched two frames and Joey Eischen followed in the ninth for the save.

Vladimir Guerrero and Henry Mateo had run-scoring singles in the third to account for the game's only runs.

Randy Wolf was the loser, allowing both runs and five hits in three innings.
