FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Eric Milton and four relievers combined on a six-hitter Thursday as a split squad of Minnesota Twins posted a 6-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox.
Milton allowed just one hit over two scoreless innings with no walks and a strikeout. LaTroy Hawkins worked two innings in relief, giving up one hit and striking out two.

Doug Mientkiewicz belted a two-run homer off Rolando Arrojo in the bottom of the first and Casey Blake reached Arrojo for a solo shot in the second.
Mientkiewicz, Blake and Torii Hunter each had two hits for the Twins, who are off to a 3-0 start in exhibition play. Hunter also delivered an RBI single.
