OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison had 26 points and 12 rebounds Wednesday night as the Golden State Warriors snapped a seven-game skid with a 110-93 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Jason Richardson added 21 points for the Warriors, who built a big first-half lead and easily handed the Nuggets their season-high
sixth straight defeat.
The Warriors led, 34-23, after one quarter and extended their advantage to 58-39 on a free throw by Jamison with 3:19 left in the second
period.
The Nuggets pulled to within 66-55 at halftime, but no closer than 93-84 on a driving layup by Calbert Cheaney with 6:33 to go.
Juwan Howard scored 21 points before fouling out late in the contest and Tim Hardaway, who was traded with Howard to Denver from Midwest
Division-leading Dallas last Thursday, added 18, including five three-pointers.
Despite committing an NBA season-high 30 turnovers, the Warriors limited the Nuggets to 36 percent shooting (34-of-95) and outrebounded them, 61-40.
Golden State shot just 45 percent (32-of-71), but made a season-high 43 free throws while Denver sank 20.
