Sacramento 112, Denver 107

DENVER, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Peja Stojakovic scored 29 points and Doug Christie added 12 of his 21 in the fourth quarter Wednesday night as the Sacramento Kings extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 112-107 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Mainly due to its success at Arco Arena, Sacramento is in the midst of its longest winning streak since the 1963-64 season, when the franchise resided in Cincinnati. Eight wins during the streak have come at home, but the Kings snapped a four-game slide at Denver, winning here for the first time since May 3, 1999.

Despite playing without Nick Van Exel, who was sidelined with a bruised jaw, Nuggets went on an 18-2 run to take an 86-77 lead late in the third quarter. But the Kings scored the final six points of the period to start a 26-7 surge.

Sacramento took the lead for good, 90-88, on a hook shot by Chris Webber with 9:35 remaining. Webber collected 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, falling just shy of his second triple-double of the season.

Denver's Raef LaFrentz picked up the slack for Van Exel with a season-high 30 points. He grabbed 10 rebounds and made a career-high six three-pointers.
