Colorado 4, Ottawa 2

DENVER, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Adam Foote set up three goals and Greg De Vries snapped a tie with 6:27 left in the second period Monday night as the Colorado Avalanche rallied for a 4-2 triumph over the Ottawa Senators.

Ottawa seized a 2-0 lead less than 15 minutes into the contest and allowed 19 shots in the first period. But Alex Tanguay and Chris Drury scored in the final four minutes of the period and the defense took over from there.

De Vries' third goal of the season snapped the tie and Ottawa managed just 15 shots over the final 40 minutes. Colorado improved to 4


1 in its last five games and has outscored the opposition 19-7 over that span.

Shawn McEachern and Radek Bonk had goals for Ottawa, which fell to 1-12-1 all time in Colorado.
