Toronto 117, Utah 96

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Vince Carter scored a season-high 43 points and Morris Peterson added 26 Saturday night as the Toronto Raptors pulled away in the third quarter for their fourth straight victory, 117-96 over the Utah Jazz.

Carter was 14 of 32 from the floor and Peterson shot 10 of 12. The duo also fared well from the perimeter as Toronto tied a franchise record with 15 three-pointers. Carter was eight of 14 from long range and Peterson was five of seven.

The Raptors held a 54-53 lead at halftime and outscored the Jazz, 34-18, in the third quarter. They put away the game with a 24-2 run that carried into the final period.

Carter had nine points during the run, making several open jumpers. Utah coach Jerry Sloan used Bryon Russell, Quincy Lewis and John Starks on the All-Star, but it did not matter as Carter led Toronto in scoring for the sixth time in as many games.

Carter made Toronto's 15th and last three-pointer at 9:29 of the third quarter. It tied the record set at San Antonio on Feb. 15, 1997.
