Nashville 2, St. Louis 2 (OT)

NASHVILLE, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Mike Keane scored with 9:16 to play in the second period Saturday night to lift the St. Louis Blues into a 2-2 tie with the Nashville Preadtors.

Keane, one of the NHL's most tenacious grinders, was at the top left of the crease when he stuffed a rebound of Doug Weight's shot past goaltender Tomas Vokoun for his second goal in as many games.

Fred Brathwaite, acquired from the Calgary Flames in the offseason, made 21 saves in his debut for St. Louis. Pavol Demitra also tallied for St. Louis, which is 6-1-3 all-time in Nashville.

Defenseman Andy Delmore and Scott Hartnell scored for the Predators, who opened the season Friday with a 4-1 loss at Dallas.
