GENEVA, Switzerland, March 2 (UPI) -- Automotive performance company Brabus and Germany energy giant RWE announced a so-called "green package" for electric vehicles in the country.

RWE and Brabus signed a cooperation agreement at the Geneva Motor Show to feature a "green package" for a special edition Tesla Roadster.

"We have combined the clean electric power system with extraordinary driving dynamics and an exclusive design," said Bodo Buschmann, the chief executive at Brabus.

The companies teamed to provide customers with a charging box in addition to a pass for the free use of RWE charging stations.

Carolin Reichert, a divisional manager at RWE, said the increased use of electric vehicles is creating a need for quick and efficient recharge options.

"To that end, RWE offers very powerful quick charging stations for the home that reduce charging times by more than 50 percent with currently available batteries," she added.

RWE plans to install 500 public charging stations in Berlin this year.
