Measles epidemics begin in big cities

CAMBRIDGE, England, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- An analysis of measles outbreaks over the past half century reveals the epidemics begin in large cities, then splash into neighboring towns and villages like a wave spilling across a beach. The findings show vaccination programs should focus on the world's mega-cities, researchers say in Nature.
