Public health labs no match for anthrax

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher said the anthrax bioterrorism attacks have isolated weak links in the U.S. public health system, most notably the laboratories at the CDC in Atlanta. The labs are out-of-date and poorly equipped, as are many local and state health labs.
