Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Dec. 4 (UPI) -- In anticipation of Ron Burgundy’s visit to Emerson on Dec. 4, the college has rechristened the School of Communications as the “Ron Burgundy School of Communications” for the day. Marketing Communication major Emily Yumkas envisioned a way to use the visit to help animals at the San Diego Zoo by selling T-shirts printed with Ron Burgundy School of Communications. Advertisement “I really wanted to celebrate my ‘new’ school’s pride,” said Yumkas. “Once I had a campaign set up, I shared it on my personal Facebook and Twitter pages. In three days, the campaign surpassed its 30 T-shirt goal.” She raised $285 to “adopt” a panda at the zoo although her donation will really be used for general zoo expenses. During his visit to Emerson, Burgundy (Will Ferrell) will hold a mock press conference. Students will also be able to check out a free advanced screening of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
