Birmingham woman charged in deadly Iron Bowl shooting

Adrian Laroze Briskey charged with murder for shooting Michelle Lacette Shepherd.

Dec. 3 (UPI) -- After an Iron Bowl party on Saturday turned violent, police have charged 28-year-old Adrian Laroze Briskey with murder for the shooting death of 36-year-old Michelle Lacette Shepherd.

The women, both from Birmingham, were attending a party at the Summerchase Apartments and Hoover Police were called to the scene shortly after the end of the game.

When officers arrived, Shepherd was already dead. According to authorities, Briskey and Shepherd got into an argument after the game and the fight spilled into the parking lot. During the incident, Briskey allegedly shot Shepherd three times with a small caliber handgun. The women did not know each other prior to the party.

Briskey was taken into custody and her bond is set at $75,000. She is currently being moved from the Hoover City Jail to the Shelby County Jail.

According to Shepherd’s sister, she leaves behind three children under the age of 10.
