(UPI) -- A man who claims he was attacked by former NFL player Braylon Edwards back in October has filed a formal complaint against the Detroit Police Department for not coming to his aid.

In the complaint, Ken Bryant alleges that four DPD officers looked on while Edwards chased him outside of a nightclub, grabbed him by the ankles and flipped him over. Bryant says Edwards and others then held him on the ground.

"He's very strong," Bryant said in October. "I actually felt almost like a girl in a domestic violence situation."

Edwards was allegedly upset with Bryant because of a cellphone video he shot inside the club and refused to delete. When Bryant tried to leave the premises, he says, Edwards and his posse prevented him.

The former wide receiver dismissed the complaint on Twitter.

"The reports are blasphemy. Was joking with friends and a guy was filming us. I asked him to delete it, he said no. He wasn't harmed at all."

Bryant says he was contacted once by the Board of Police Commissioners, but that he hasn’t yet had a formal conversation about his complaint.

A rep for Edwards says Bryant is just attempting to "take Braylon's money."
