Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The California Highway Patrol helped corral a runaway llama that escaped from a farm when its fence was damaged by the North Bay wildfires. The California Highway Patrol - Golden Gate Division said in a Facebook post that Officer Custodio Lopez helped Sonoma County Animal Services Officer Cathy McCafferty with a llama rescue Wednesday after the animal was freed from its Sonoma County home by fire damage to a fence. Advertisement Lopez and McCafferty were able to safely herd the wayward animal back to its enclosure. Photos shared by the highway patrol show the officers helping repair the fence to prevent future llama escapes.
