Dateless Minnesota teen takes Harvard acceptance letter to prom

May 3 (UPI) -- A high school student in Minnesota made light of not having a date by posing for a prom photo with one of her many Ivy League acceptance letters.

Priscilla Samey shared a photo to Twitter of herself posing with her lips puckered next to the crimson envelope containing her Harvard acceptance letter.

"Couldn't find a man to accept me for prom so I took a college that did," Samey wrote.

Her tweet went viral, receiving more than 28,000 likes and 120,000 retweets within a few days.

In another tweet that was retweeted more than 1,000 times, Samey listed the other universities she was accepted to, including Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, University of Pennsylvania and Cornell.

"Look at what God did," she wrote.
