Jan. 23 (UPI) -- A Wisconsin man who attempted to use his car engine as a vacuum to clean up spilled rice ended up in a smoky situation.

Tanner Malke posted a video to YouTube showing how he found a creative use for his Honda Civic engine after he spilled rice and didn't have a vacuum handy.

The video shows Malke using a vacuum hose to clean up the spill until the hose loses suction.

Malke turns the camera to show the hose had stopped because it was attached to the engine of his car, which had become flooded with rice and started to smoke.
