According to the product description, the $24 candle was Hand Poured in Charleston, SC using 100 percent Soy Wax and features scent notes of mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin and sage.
"We've always wanted to have some carefully curated corporate merchandise, so yesterday we finally released some things," co-founder Andrew Green told Adweek. "One of them was this crazy idea I had a couple months ago [for a candle] that smells like that smell when you open a new Mac for the first time."
The "crazy idea" proved to be a popular one as the sites stock of hundreds of candles sold out within its first 24 hours on sale.
The candle's popularity has encouraged Green to increase production of the niche product for fellow Mac lovers before the holiday season.
"I can't imagine a better gift for a Mac lover for the holidays," Green said. "It's an idea that's clearly struck a nerve, so we'll make more."
