New York police seek mismatched superhero in beer theft

SALAMANCA, N.Y., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Police in New York are seeking a man dressed in a mash-up of different superhero costumes in connection to a beer theft at a local convenience store.

According to WKBW, a man wearing a Batman costume and Captain America mask stole two 18-packs of Budweiser valued at $33.18 from a convenience store on Tuesday afternoon.

Police described the man, who was seen on surveillance cameras, as a slim white man in his twenties standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall.

Residents with information about the masked robber are encouraged to contact Salamanca police.
