Cowboy chases bear away from trash cans in Colorado

ESTES PARK, Colo., March 30 (UPI) -- A bear trying to get into outdoor trash bins in Colorado was chased off by an unusual garbage guardian: a cowboy in full costume.

The video shows some roadside trash bins on Highway 7 near Estes Park catching the attention of a large bear.

The bear attempts to get into the bins and climbs atop them in the quest for a trash-flavored snack.

The bear's snack time is interrupted by a person shouting from off-camera. The animal flees and the trash's protector is revealed as a man dressed in a complete cowboy costume.
