The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post driver Sara Poynot called authorities about 4 a.m. Tuesday to report an alligator blocking the road on Highway 190 near Fontainebleau State Park. "When the gator realized Ms. Poynot called STPSO, he fled on foot into a nearby marshy area," the post said. "The gator is now wanted for questing about the incident and may face charges if he is caught!" Poynot posted a video of the moment the gator "finally decided to move."
